The APC Chairman discusses 192 lawmakers’ intention to leave the party.

Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports.
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Adamu, has stated that he is unaware that 192 lawmakers are planning to leave the ruling party.
Recall Tracknews reported on Sunday that the Bola Tinubu Campaign Organisation’s Planning and Strategy Committee informed the APC hierarchy of the possibility of approximately 192 National Assembly (NASS) members defecting from the ruling party to opposition parties.
This comes on the heels of the results of the party primaries in May and June, in which some of the party’s top members failed to secure re-election tickets.
Babachir Lawal, a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, presided over the committee (SGF).
Adamu was told about the alleged plan and asked, “For what reason?” in an interview with Arise TV on Sunday.
“As National Chairman of our great party, it is not my place to lead by speculation,” he added. I’m aware of Babachir’s opposition to the Muslim-Muslim ticket. However, I am not aware of 192 APC legislators defecting to another party.”
