The FG has suspended COVID-19 tests for travelers.

The federal government has approved the immediate relaxation of the COVID-19 safety measures and travel advisory, including the suspension of all pre-departure, pre-boarding, and post-arrival PCR test requirements.
Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19 (PSC), made the announcement in a statement.
According to Mustapha, President Muhammadu Buhari’s approval is based on the PSC’s recommendations and clinical and laboratory evidence of a sustained reduction in COVID-19 infection/transmission across the country. The statement was as follows:
“All pre-departure and post-arrival PCR test requirements for all unvaccinated individuals have been suspended.”
Passengers will no longer be required to upload proof of vaccination on the Nigeria International Travel Portal following the suspension of both preboarding and post-arrival PCR tests (NITP). All passengers who are unvaccinated or only partially vaccinated are strongly advised to get fully vaccinated.” Form for Health Declaration
All passengers arriving in Nigeria on the Nigeria International Travel Portal (NITP) must complete a simplified Health Declaration (non-covid-19 specific), and those who were unable to complete this form prior to departure will be accommodated on arrival.”
Finally, the Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19 (PSC) strongly urges Nigerians to get their COVID-19 vaccinations and booster doses.”
