The Man Chief Mike Ekayama Loyibo the Prime Minister of Esuku Ebe, A Blessing to Tuomo Kingdom an Ijaw Nation
TRACKING___Born about five decades ago to the family of Late Ekayama Loyibo of Ekeremobiri Quarters of Tuomo town in Burutu local government area of Delta state.
Chief Mike Ekayama Loyibo grew up to be a young industrious and inspiring young man. He had a very robust cultural growth as witnessed by all Ijaw children. He was a bright student who had his First School Leaving Certificate, in Benue State and later proceeded to Hussey College, Warri, for his secondary school.
Upon graduation from High School, he sought admission to the University and was admitted to the famous Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma in Edo state to study Political Science.
As a young inquisitive mind he realized and witnessed the brazen rape of his motherland by the Nigerian State and was profoundly inspired by the works of Ijaw hero, Isaac Jasper Adaka Boro whom he had read in the book “The Twelve Days Revolution”
This very inspiring work imprinted in his mind the need to give credible non confrontational humanitarian leadership and contribute his quota towards the emancipation of his people.
This passion led him to begin his leadership training and became an avid Student Union leader and given his penchant and passion was elected President of the Ijaw National Student Leadership, NATIONAL UNION of IZON STUDENTS (NUIS), a feat achieved by such starling personalities in history like Amb Godknows Igali, late Chief Patrick Ziakede Aginighan and former President of Ijaw Youth Council, Dr Chris Ekiyor.
Chief Mike Ekayama Loyibo gave a focused and visionary leadership to the Union. His tenure was replete with many achievements which includes the creation of unity in the union and by extension Ijaw Nation. He was able to use his style of leadership to unite and form many chapters in different Universities in Nigeria with the sole objective of creating a consciousness to foster our unity of purpose.
It is also worthy of mention that Chief Mike Ekayama Loyibo was able to aid the admittance of many Ijaw worthy students to the University using his position as (NUIS) President.
Upon graduation, he served many political leaders but given his passion for fast development which was not fast coming he ventured into personal business.
Known for his unrelenting passion for knowledge he went further to obtain a masters degree in international relations.
Today Chief Mike Ekayama Loyibo has become an household name given his unprecedented large heart in executing humanitarian activities across Ijaw land and beyond.
It’s worthy to mention that under the President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan leadership, Chief Mike Elayama Loyibo effected many good deeds including the appointment of Chief Famous Eseduwo to the Federal Civil Service Commission as Director of Recruitment. Not only did he ensure that he was given such appointment in the whole Federation, but went further to ensure that over Seven hundred of our Ijaw brothers and sisters were summarily recruited into the Nigerian civil service. These include lawyers, Engineers, Medical, Doctors, Architect, Political Scientist etc.
Chief Mike Ekayama Loyib, with his passion and earnest enthusiasm continued to positively affect many through building of houses, sponsoring of students in scholarship awards and purchase of cars to deserving people of Ijaw extraction.
His philanthropic gesture today knows no bounds as it has geometrically increased to such a level that one can only wonder to what extent will he not go to affect humanity positively.
These and many other worthy and celebrated virtues has attracted His Majesty the King of Tuomo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, the Pere of Esuku Kingdom, Justice Francis Tabai (Rtd) to confer on him with the respected towering title of the Traditional Prime Minister ( Tonkepa) of Esuku Kingdom. This feat is indeed worthy of mention as such is conferred on very distinguished personalities historically in the kingdom.
Today this young enterprising and enigmatic phenomenon has continued to earn more sobriquet given his unrelenting drive to give Ijaw Nation a peculiar and transnational form of leadership through direct interventions in human lives.
Chief Mike Ekayama Loyibo is a good man whose good deeds reverberates across Ijaw land and beyond.
