The Man Ganduje: His Support And Loyalty To Bola Tinubu In Making Him President

Only few men get lucky to have their lives celebrated because of what they have achieved and the success of their dreams while alive. These men are simply so great that the world cannot wait till they are gone. Dr. Umar Abdullahi Ganduje is one of such great men.

Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is one man whose life in the academia and politics has continued to be a source of pride and joy to many in the country particular in his avowed political philosophy of standing by the truth no matter whose ox is gored. He is a man that is known never to depart from his beliefs that it is time for all of us as citizens to rise above our petty political and parochial differences by supporting those who we know has what it takes to take our country to a better place for all. No wonder his support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our new president when his party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) was playing politics with the issue of zoning of its Presidential ticket and even went as far as making a petty announcement that the then senate President, Ahmed Lawal was its preferred candidate for the ticket, it was the likes of Abdullahi Ganduje, Nasir El Rufai, Governor Atiku Bagudu and other prominent leaders of the party of northern extraction that stood their ground to resist the antics of the power brokers in the party and made the rotation of power to the South possible. Such is the virtues of Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje that many today see him as a flawless supporter of the President and a disciple of a new kind of politics dispensation that emphasize the keeping of agreements as a virtue of honour.

Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s contributions to the building of the progressive block in the country is legendary .He has fought a political good battle by fighting the symmetric and assymetric political battles of the progressive blocks by making sure that the progressives headed by our president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu would continue to reign supreme in the political calculations of the country for a long time to come.

Ganduje’s greatest political capital is his doggedness which is his main weapon of confronting his political foes like the Kwankwasos and his like in Kano local politics. His edge over them is the fact that he plays the politics without bitterness mantra of his political friend and mentor, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He defines his politics by the numbers of people he has made relevant and empowered to further his political ideology because this what true leaders do.

He is a leader, mentor and an inspiration to many. He is also known to be one leader in the Northwest who have worked tirelessly in ensuring that the region becomes relevant in the scheme of things in our national politics by being the bridge builder personified between the zone and other zones and this he brought to the fore in his contribution to the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the last Presidential election in the country.

I would say it categorically and proudly too that Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje whether you like him or hate him is one of the greatest heroes and loyalist of the President who worked assiduously and excellently to making Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be President. This can be seen by the great victories for the President in the Northwest above other zones in the country and this justifies the position of many analyst and critics alike that the northerners are the very reliable and honourable allies of the Southwest in the politics of the country.

The culture of sacrifice, loyalty and compromise for common good and selflessness is why Dr Ganduje has become ever relevant and would always remain so for a long time to come and the starting point is at the Federal level where he will remain visible for many years to come because he has paid his dues. Ganduje today is pivotal to Nigeria’s progressive politics and can proudly be described as one of the icon of modern day democracy in the country.

Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is neither corrupt nor arbitrary forget the antics of the Kwankwaso’s political block who are now jealous of the rising political star of the former governor of the state in national politics. His fight with his former boss who he still holds in awe and respect is nothing personal but a mere political ideological differences.

Ganduje, as his records shows. has consistently been accountable to his people in all the capacities he has been honoured to serve them. He is never known as a politician that is into clientism or patronage which has been for so long the hallmarks of many a politician in the country. Never a brand made for greed and an embodiment of public good. Whatever he owns is for public service, even his personal residence belongs to the people-where the rich and the poor visits for their day to day intents.

The greatness of Dr Ganduje transcends politics. He is an influencer, a leader, a multiplier of values, a political cum administrative Hunter of talents. He, like his friend the President, belongs to me, to you and to everybody. His political ideology, beliefs and associations can be possibly defined. He is an open book, yet he is an independent chapter of the voluminous epistle of his political life. No wonder he is above all in the politics of Kano state that Kwankwaso is trying hard to de-robe but cannot.

As governor of Kano state in the last dispensation, his blueprints for the state served as the roadmap in the achieving of his people’s dream. He built infrastructures that will eternally serve the people and be a constant reminder to his people of a government that is caring and in tune with the needs of the time. He was so successful in his infrastructural renewal and enhancement schemes that the former President, Mohammadu Buhari in his visits to the state recommended same to other states as a way to go if they properly peer reviewed themselves.

He is a disciple of the President because he feels he has a heart of gold for chastity in his political dealings and his never left anyone behind political inclinations. He believes he has the lion heart to tackle all the problems face by the country. He feels naturally that some people are born to be great and President Bola Tinubu is one vivid example whose dream has taken him unstoppably to the stars and because he is a beneficiary of the greatness of nature he must be supported to make this greatness shine on the country.

Finally, there is something that must be said about Dr Ganduje. hHe admires President Tinubu because he is a fighter and a quintessential progressives for the common good who never worships anybody with feet of clay. He has the courage and the determination of the old soldiers who never does but only fades away. Old weapons like him has hanged around to change the fortune of a country in need of a leader to give it hope and he will. Ganduje is divinely endowed with accenative intelligent people which will come handy at some critical period in our peculiar political terrain. His steadfastness in the line of duty is indeed outstanding and the president needs him and the country too needs him going forward.
