The “one-chance” gang is detained by police in Lagos

Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of two members of a one-chance gang that is well known for operating in the Funsho Williams Avenue area of the state.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by state police public relations officer SP Benjamin Hundeyin, Usman Hussani and Ebuka Ukechukwu were nabbed after a victim who had misplaced his phone and other valuables made a distress call.
He announced that two members of a one-chance gang well known for operating near Funsho Williams Avenue had been apprehended by police personnel assigned to the Surulere Division.
The suspects, Usman Hussani, 21, and Ebuka Ukechukwu, 25, were arrested after the victim called for help shortly after they had stolen his phone and other items from him.
On the suspects, police discovered two mobile phones, two SIM cards, a Sterling Bank ATM card, a UBA checkbook belonging to Ugochukwu (other names withheld), and a brand-new tricycle with the gang’s license plate LSD 360 QN.
Suspects will be brought before a court after investigations are complete.
The state’s police commissioner, Abiodun Alabi, exhorts residents to always be cautious, especially when using public transit.
