THE SILENT CRY THAT ECHOES FROM THE ZINCS, WOODS AND BUILDINGS DESTROYED BY THE MILITARY IN AZAGBENE COMMUNITY…

TRACKING >>So many stories been told, many tales heard, many laws and policies from the Federal Government, several bills passed by the National Assembly, several agitations, several referendums held, different kinds of communiques seen, various Groups from different ethnic Nationalities formed, all for the Unity of One Nigeria.

In view of all the happenings in Nigeria, insecurity keep eating deep into the marrow of our great nation(Nigeria) and nobody is talking, no body is seen on the street protesting like it was everywhere when our Father Dr. Goodluck Jonathan was on the seat of power, hatred for the Ijaw people. I remember in 2007, when President Buhari was contesting for the seat of President then, against Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, He(Buhari) made a statement thus” if he looses this election, that the baboons in the street will be shocked with blood” I believe Nigerians can still remember this statement, simply because is an Ijaw man that’s on the seat of power, hatred for the Ijaw people. Now, my people from the Ijaw ethnic Nationality should know that we are been hated by this same people that preach peace and unity, they are not ready to concede to anything that will benefits the Ijaws without them. For instance, as an Ijaw man you cannot go to the north for mining explorations whereas all our oil blocs are been shared to them because they remain the caliphate and continue to protect their own and not sell their selves out like the Ijaws does.

Remember, in 1960s our father and leadr of the Ijaw Nation, Major Isaac Jasper Adaka Boro organised the declaration for the Niger Delta Republic because of the oppression and injustice meted on our people but the then Federal Government By General Aguiyi Ironsi(Igbo man) reacted with so much venom against the Ijaw people without taking indices of the critical issues that lead to the declaration, how they hate the Ijaw man.
Olusegun Obasanjo who is a Yoruba indigene. In 1999, November 11, ordered a Military invasion of Odi community for the destruction, the first in Nigeria by a Democratic Government. Show of hatred for the Ijaw man.
Most recently, The Nigerian Army went and destroyed Azagbene Community in Ekeremor LGA, Bayelsa State in retaliation of the lives of two of their men that were killed by Sea Pirates.

Destruction of Communities is an act of Terrorism and Banditry and the army did not act anything less.
I wish to with all honesty say that, there was no form of professionalism on the side of the army and cannot be practiced even in the battle field. I wonder if innocent lives were not lost in the process, don’t forget military don’t disclose such informations.
The backhandedness in the whole incident is that, the army were killed by sea pirates along the river(not in the community) so why going to destroy the community and render our people homeless and people are saying the military is right in their actions. Where is the Ijawness in us, can’t we see the hatred staring at us. How many Fulani headers, and huts have they destroyed?

Why supporting evenly against your own people, Ijaws should stand up and speak, where is our famous PANDEF, INC, IYC. Recall, that sometime ago, a senior military officer was killed in plateau state and the community where the act was perpetrated was never raised down. My people there is no other means to describe the level of hatred this people have for us, The Ijaw people. When the former Chief of Defence Staff was killed the Army did not go to destroy nearby Communities within the area of the dastardly act.
Fulani herdsmen are on rampage killing innocent Nigerians yet nobody from their ethnicity is saying something, even President Buhari is silent on this. The truth is that, The Ijaw should stand up for its known, this silent will begat another attempt again. The Act carried out in Azagbene Community should not repeat again, is a ploy and they are coming gradually.

I want to call on all Ijaws to remain strong and resolute, we need a cohesive, a gallant and a very united Ijaw Nation, let’s rise and continue to protect our ideals and fundamental rights. Grazias!!!!
