There is no reason for the South-East to vote against the PDP. — Atiku

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, said yesterday that the South-East people have no reason not to vote for the PDP in the 2023 presidential election.
During the PDP presidential rally in Owerri, Atiku spoke at Ndubusi Kanu Square.
His reasoning was that he would sit down and listen to the Igbo, who are at the forefront of the country’s restructuring campaign.
He also promised to invest $10 billion in Igbo businesses to boost their economic activities as businesspeople.
“If I am President, Imo is President. We are well aware of the security challenges that exist in Imo and throughout the country. But, if I am elected President, I will meet with you to discuss the issue. For decades, I have been associated with the Igbo.
“I understand that Igbo are businesspeople. If elected, I will restore business to Igboland. If I am elected, I will invest $10 billion in small businesses in Igboland; no one will say he has nothing to do in the South-East.”
Earlier in his remark, the vice presidential candidate of the PDP, and governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, said: “We want everybody to be committed to this campaign till the day of election. Our party has brought Atiku Abubakar, who is the only person capable of correcting the mistakes made by the ruling APC. Atiku has stated that he will bring $10 billion to help small businesses. I believe Atiku will win this election. I greet you all and know you are eager to work for the PDP.”
