There Is Nothing Remarkable About The APC; We Shall Dismiss This Govt In 2027.

Former Sokoto State Governor, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has recently addressed the ongoing trend of political defections in the North West, attributing them largely to personal motivations rather than genuine concern for the public good.
In an interaction with journalists following the initial Zonal Executive Council Meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Northwest, held in Kaduna on Saturday, Tambuwal criticized those politicians who are leaving for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). He argued that these moves are motivated by self-interest and are not aligned with the obligation to serve the people diligently.
“People often switch political allegiance for various motives, yet the prevalent pattern in these defections seems centered around personal enrichment, what I describe as ‘stomach infrastructure,’ instead of prioritizing the needs and interests of the citizens,” he emphasized.
Tambuwal went on to express criticism towards the current APC-led federal government, accusing it of lacking foresight, compassion, and concrete direction. He remarked that, given the current economic challenges and perceived inefficiencies of the Tinubu administration, it would be difficult for any politician who genuinely cares about the country to affiliate themselves with the APC.
He called for unity among opposition groups to rally and devise a coherent strategy as they approach the 2027 elections, stressing the importance of offering the Nigerian populace a meaningful and effective alternative.
“There’s little of substance to attract individuals to the APC beyond mere personal gains. Those of us who are deeply committed to the welfare of this nation and to the principles of genuine public service must unite to ensure that by 2027, we are able to unseat this administration that has failed Nigerians,” Tambuwal insisted.
Concurrent with Tambuwal’s remarks, the PDP Northwest reaffirmed its commitment to reclaiming power by 2027, underscoring the critical role of unity and strategic engagement. A communiqué issued at the meeting’s conclusion by the PDP Northwest Chairman, Senator Bello Hayatu Gwarzo, further echoed the party’s determination to recapture national leadership and encouraged members to intensify efforts towards achieving this goal.
