Former English professional footballers Adebayo Akinfenwa and Darren Ambrose have stated that clashes between Tottenham’s Antonio Conte and Chelsea’s Thomas Tuchel should occur more frequently in the Premier League, TrackNews reports.

According to them, the two managers demonstrated passion and should be commended rather than condemned.

Both managers were sent off at the end of a tense 2-2 Premier League draw at Stamford Bridge.

The pair exchanged handshakes at the end of the game, with the Blues’ manager appearing to grab Conte’s hand while not looking him in the eyes.

During the game, the German and Italian clashed, with the Tottenham manager booked for celebrating their first equalizer in the face of Tuchel.

However, Akinfenwa and Ambrose told TrackNews that they enjoyed seeing the managers’ passion.

“It’s a derby, and you want to see passion and that kind of thing.” When everyone comes in, it makes it appear worse than it is. That’s something I like.
