Tijani Babangida, former Super Eagles winger, claims the team was unlucky in their 1-0 loss to Guinea-Bissau

Tijani Babangida, a former Super Eagles winger, claimed the team was unlucky in their 1-0 loss to Guinea-Bissau on Friday night.
Mama Balde scored the game-winning goal in the first half.
Jose Peseiro’s men created several chances but were unable to break down the opposition’s defense.
“I am really impressed with the players’ performance and I hope they will get the job done in the reverse fixture to reclaim top position in the group,” Babangida said, emphasizing that he was disappointed that the Super Eagles lost 1-0 to Guinea-Bissau “despite the team playing good football.”
Following the defeat, the Super Eagles fell to second place in Group A.
The two teams will meet again in the rematch on Monday in Bissau.
