Tinubu, Atiku Apologize for Okupe’s Character Not Being Verified

The Tinubu-Shettima and Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign Councils have slammed Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, for requesting that older flagbearers retire and withdraw from the 2023 presidential election.
According to Naija News, the former Anambra State governor stated at his presidential rally in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, that weak and aging presidential candidates have no business running for an important office like the presidency.

The physical energy of a vibrant candidate who can get the job done seamlessly, according to the LP flagbearer, is required to save Nigeria from total collapse.

Apology to the Submissive
In response to Peter Obi’s statement to The PUNCH, Phrank Shaibu, the presidential campaign spokesperson for Atiku-Okowa, stated that age does not equal capacity, citing the LP candidate’s age of 61.

“He should use this time to apologize to his supporters and Nigerians for failing to’verify’ the character of his campaign director or perform any form of due diligence before appointing the same person to market his credentials and anti-corruption stance,” he added.

Obi’s attention is drawn to the noise around him.
Festus Keyamo, Tinubu-presidential Shettima’s campaign spokesman, also carpeted the former Anambra State governor.

Keyamo, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, has asked Peter Obi to resign so that a candidate younger than him can run for president.

“He’s already playing on emotions,” Keyamo noted. That is a statement indicating that he is speechless. He is not the youngest member of the group. Presidential candidates in their forties are still running for office. I can make some suggestions. Obi should be the one to fill their shoes.

“His remarks are deeply regrettable. Who, after all, informed him that he was a major party candidate? This is a new political candidate. What gives him the impression that he’s a serious contender? He’s probably listening to what’s going on around him. I can’t wait until the 2023 election. Instead of all of this commotion, they will comprehend what it takes to conduct an election.

“When the jungle matures, they’ll understand,” I always say.
