Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the APC was the only presidential candidate who failed to win his home state during the February 25 presidential election, according to Atiku Abubakar’s lead attorney, Mr. Mike Ozekhome, SAN, who noted that he was unable to win his own state during the recently concluded presidential election.

During an interview with the media immediately after the court sessions on Wednesday, Mr. Mike Ozekhome disclosed this information.

According to Mr. Ozekhome, Tinubu was the only presidential candidate to lose in his home state; all other candidates triumphed. Peter Obi won in his own state, Kwankwaso won in his own state, and Atiku won in his own state.

Speaking of Bola Tinubu’s failure to receive 25% of the votes cast in the Federal Capital Territory, Mr. Ozekhome pointed out that the evidence presented by the APC and Bola Tinubu’s witness described the FCT as a fountain of national unity and a symbol of status, noting that the evidence was actually in the petitioners’ favour.

Though Bola Tinubu’s election cannot be overturned due to his loss of $460,000 in the United States as a result of a court order, the testimony from the witness Bola Tinubu provided made it clear as to that.

Recall that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the Labour Party are now fighting in court the election that resulted in Bola Ahmed Tinubu becoming president of Nigeria on the grounds that it lacked transparency and was tainted by many irregularities. Nigerians are now anticipating the outcome of the situation.
