Tinubu Has Given Me A Big Position To Hold, And I Will Not Disappoint My Party—George Akume
After being sworn in as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume expressed his commitment to working alongside President Bola Tinubu without disappointing their shared vision.
The inauguration took place in the council chamber, witnessed by various government officials.
Following the ceremony, Akume addressed State House correspondents, assuring them of his dedication to serving the Nigerian people. He emphasized his determination to fulfil his responsibilities, asserting that he would not let down the president, the nation, or his political party.
According to his words, Akume also said that “Tinubu has given me a big position to hold, and I will not disappoint my party.” “I will also ensure that I will not disappoint Nigerians as well.”
Akume further expressed confidence that Nigerians would benefit from his endeavours and highlighted his belief that, with divine guidance, he would deliver on the promises of democracy.
George Akume also pledged to exert his utmost efforts to ensure the citizens’ well-being and the advancement of the nation.
