Tinubu is not owing anybody because he did not collect money from anyone to become president– Epelle.
In a recent interview with Channels Television, Mr. Jake Epelle, the Chief Executive Officer of TAF Africa and founder of the Albino Foundation, made an important statement regarding President Bola Tinubu’s ascent to power. Epelle said that Tinubu’s rise to the presidency was not facilitated by accepting financial contributions from any individual or group.
As a result, he believes that the President is not indebted to anyone, underscoring that it is the President’s responsibility to appoint individuals who will represent the country with professionalism, rather than those who might tarnish its reputation.
Epelle asserted that the lasting legacy of a President is determined by the caliber of individuals he appoints to his administration. While politicians who are ill-suited for government roles may be forgotten over time, the President’s own reputation and impact on the nation will be remembered for generations. He further disclosed that he and his organization are striving to adapt to the current situation in the country, expressing concern about how the less fortunate are coping with the challenging circumstances.
In light of these considerations, Mr. Epelle urged President Tinubu to promptly assemble a capable cabinet, stressing that doing so would enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of his administration. The CEO of TAF Africa emphasized that he has closely observed the President’s track record and the manner in which he conducted his campaign. Based on this analysis, Epelle confidently asserted that Tinubu likely did not rely on financial contributions from any party to secure his presidency, hence his lack of obligations to external interests. Epelle expressed the belief that if Tinubu chooses to serve the nation and make a lasting positive impact, he should refrain from hiring or associating with politicians who may undermine his agenda.
Mr. Epelle emphasized that this approach would ensure Tinubu’s name is etched in the annals of history for the right reasons. Instead of patronizing individuals with questionable motives, Epelle suggested that the President focus on appointing capable and dedicated professionals who share his vision for the country’s growth and development. This way, the President’s efforts and achievements would stand the test of time, leaving a positive and enduring legacy for future generations to admire and remember.
