Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has paid tribute to Abdulsobur Olayiwola Olawale, a Lagos Assembly member who died on Tuesday.
According to The Nation, Olawale, also known as Omititi, slumped and died shortly after the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential rally at Rawang Pam Township Stadium in Jos.
Tinubu prayed to God Almighty to comfort those he had left behind and to grant him eternal rest.
“I offer my heartfelt condolences to the family of Hon. Sobur Olawale, who represented Mushin Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly until his tragic death yesterday,” he said in a tweet.
“Omititi, as he was affectionately known by friends and loved ones, was a beloved family man, devoted lawmaker, and devoted party member.” He was unwavering in his support for Lagos State and Nigeria’s growth and development.
“I express my condolences to his family and constituents, and I pray that the Almighty comforts those he has left behind while also granting him eternal rest.”
Olawale served two terms in the Mushin constituency II.
He was defeated in his third term bid by Yinka Esho Kazeem, a former Mushin Local Government Sole Administrator.
He leaves behind a wife and three children. The 58-year-old was the House Committee on Local Government Services Chairman.
