Tinubu replies those who says he is seriously sick
Nigerian President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu has revealed he is “extremely delighted to be back home” from a European vacation.
“I’m fine,” Tinubu said, contradicting widespread speculation that he was seriously ill.
He added that he is still preparing for his inauguration on May 29 and he is still consulting people who will join the hidden government.
In a statement on his Twitter account, the President-elect said he was touched by the warm welcome he received upon his arrival in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, on Monday.
He added that the commitment to give a country of new hope to all Nigerians continues.
The former governor of Lagos, who officially left Nigeria on March 22, returned about a month before taking office on May 29, 2023.
He is from the country with his wife, Senator Oluremi; and Vice President-elect Kashim Shettima; Plateau Governor, Simon Lalong; Speaker of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila; also among many other high-ranking party members who received them.
