Tinubu: Why Don’t You Consider Those Of Us Who Are Stigmatized And Give Us Something? – Nwafor-Orizu

A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Ekenyem Nwafor-Orizu, has urged President Bola Tinubu to consider members of the party in the South-East and ensure that they aren’t excluded from his government. He said this while reacting to claims that the South-East region didn’t contribute anything to Tinubu’s victory and shouldn’t ask for the Senate Presidency.

While speaking in an interview with TVC, Nwafor-Orizu claimed that members of the party in the South-East worked very hard for the party in the last 2023 general elections, adding that it was hard to convince the people since they believe that they haven’t benefited anything from the government. He urged Tinubu not to ignore them, adding that they deserve the Senate Presidency so they can prove to the people that this administration will not abandon them.

“Our people are watching these things and they still feel the same marginalization so nobody can blame us. South-East APC members worked harder than those whose region brought out the president. Why don’t you consider those of us who are seriously stigmatized and harassed? We kept our cool and worked hard for the party so why don’t you give us something?

We should be given something worth it so we can go home and tell our brothers that this administration will benefit them. But now they can look us in the face and say nothing will come out of this. You (Tinubu) have to reconsider this reward system.”
