Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Today, former President Olusegun Obasanjo and All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu are anticipated to meet (Wednesday).
According to Track News, the former governor of Lagos State will meet with Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Obasanjo and Tinubu’s meeting is a step in the direction taken by the APC leader to realize his desire to run for president in 2023.
This information was disclosed in a statement made accessible to newsmen on Wednesday morning by Kunle Somorin, the Chief Press Secretary to Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun.
Somorin claimed that after meeting Obasanjo, the APC presidential candidate would speak to the crowd at the MKO Abiola International Stadium.
Learn that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, would visit Abeokuta, Ogun State today, Wednesday, August 17, 2022, according to the release.
He will visit President Olusegun Obasanjo at 10:00 am and then speak to the crowd at the MKO Abiola International Stadium.
Upon the expiration of President Muhammadu Buhari’s term in 2023, Tinubu intends to succeed him as leader.
However, after choosing Kashim Shettima, the former governor of Borno State, as his running partner in 2023, the National Leader of the APC has had difficulties in his bid for the presidency.
The ruling party’s Muslim-Muslim ticket has angered some Nigerians.
