Transfer: Piers Morgan reacts to claims Ronaldo has agreed £432m Al-Nassr deal
British broadcaster, Piers Morgan, has rubbished reports that Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed to a deal to join Al-Nassr.
Reports emerged last week that Ronaldo had received a contract offer worth €500million (£432million), with Marca claiming on Monday that the Portugal captain has now agreed to the terms and will join Al-Nassr on January 1.
The offer is a two-and-a-half-year contract which will last the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star until he is 40, while he will take home £173million per season.
Not only will that make the 37-year-old the highest-earning footballer in the history of the sport, but, according to Forbes’ list for 2022, will see him move ahead of the likes of Lionel Messi and LeBron James as the highest-paid athlete in the world.
However, Morgan, Ronaldo’s confidante, has now by tweeting on Monday, “Again, not true.”
This is coming less than a week after Morgan revealed what Ronaldo really wants following his exit from Manchester United
