Transfer: We won’t allow him to join Real Madrid – De Gea says of Man Utd star
Manchester United star David De Gea has vowed that the Red Devils will not allow Alejandro Garnacho to join Real Madrid.
The Spanish giants are interested in signing the young Argentine after he burst onto the scene this season.
Garnacho, who moved to Old Trafford from Atletico Madrid for a fee of around £300,000 when he was just 16 years old, hails from Madrid.
Erik ten Hag’s United want to keep the 18-year-old and are ready to offer him a new long-term deal.
Garnacho currently earns around £ 5,000 a week at the Theatre of Dreams and after their friendly match against Real Betis, Spanish reporters were eager to know about the youngster’s move to Real Madrid.
However, as the most senior member of the Manchester United squad, De Gea intervened, saying that the Argentina international would not be leaving Old Trafford.
“We won’t let him leave,” De Gea said.
