Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
The Election Petition Tribunal, which is hearing the petition of Adegboyega Oyetola, the All Progressives Congress candidate in the July 16 Osun State governorship election, against the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Ademola Adeleke, has stated that it will sit for six hours daily.
The panel stated that its meetings would begin at 10 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, and that they would end at 1 p.m. on Fridays.
The tribunal chairman, Justice Tertsea Kume, stated that the panel might sit on Saturdays or public holidays if necessary while delivering the panel’s pre-hearing report on Monday.
Kume also stated that all documentary evidence pleaded by the parties would be taken from the bar and that any objections to them would be postponed until the final address stage.
He stated that the time agreed upon by the parties for examination in chief and cross-examination of witnesses would be followed.
He then adjourned the case until October 26 to begin hearings.
