U-17 AFCON: Golden Eaglets seek quarter-final berth against Morocco

Two-time champions, Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets will take on Morocco in their second group game at the ongoing 2023 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations with the sole aim of securing a place in the last eight.
Nduka Ugbade’s side started their campaign on a winning note, edging out Zambia 1-0.
The Atlas Cubs of Morocco also defeated South Africa 2-0 in their opening fixture.
A win against the North Africans will help the Golden Eaglets earn a place in quarter-finals making their last group game against South Africa inconsequential.
It is the first time both countries will be meeting at this level.
Said Chiba’s young lads showed their title credentials in the victory against South Africa and will definitely be a hard nut to crack for the Golden Eaglets.
The Moroccans will also be desperate to secure a place in the quater-finals as early as possible which will make the game more interesting.
The Group B fixture at the Stade Mohamed Hamlaoui will kick-off at 5pm Nigerian time
