U-23 AFCON Qualifier: Guinea to arrive Abuja today for Olympic Eagles clash
Guinea’s U-23 side are expected to hit Abuja on Sunday (today) for their Africa Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Nigeria.
The Young Syli Stars are coming to Nigeria with a team dominated by foreign professionals.
The first leg of the qualifiers will hold at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Wednesday, March 22.
The reverse fixture is billed for Rabat, Morocco five days later.
Guinea reached the final round of the qualifiers without kicking a ball after their opponent, Uganda pulled out.
The Olympic Eagles defeated the Serengeti Boys of Tanzania 3-1 on aggregate to book a date with Guinea.
The overall winners between Nigeria and Guinea will qualify for the U-23 AFCON to be hosted by Morocco in November, 2023
