UK, Nigeria hold first-ever security dialogue
The Nigeria-UK Security and Defence Partnership was agreed between the two countries in 2018.

Nigeria and the UK commenced first ever Nigeria-UK Security and Defence Partnership Dialogue in London this week.
This is according to a statement signed by the British High Commission Ndidiamaka Eze, on Monday in Lagos.
Ms Eze said the dialogue was led by the UK National Security Adviser, Stephen Lovegrove, and National Security Adviser Babagana Monguno.
It is scheduled to last for three days.
She said the dialogue, which would end on February 2, involved a series of breakout sessions covering a range of issues, including counter-terrorism, serious and organised crime, civilian policing and human rights.
The Nigeria-UK Security and Defence Partnership was agreed between the two countries in 2018.
This week’s dialogue will be the first meeting following the 2018 agreement.
