Tinubu, during a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday, July 4, in Daura Katsina State, unveiled former Borno State Governor, Shettima, as his running mate.

The announcement implies that the APC will run a Muslim-Muslim ticket in the 2023 presidential election, a move that has sparked widespread outrage among Nigerians.

The official unveiling was supposed to take place last week, but the party postponed it.
