UPDATE: Obaseki’s Media Aide, Crusoe Osagie Maybe Declared Wanted Over Stolen Official Vehicles

There are strong indications that the Edo State Government may be left with no option, but to officially declare the special adviser on media to the immediate-past Governor, Mr. Crusoe Osagie wanted in connection with the disappearance of a Toyota Corolla and a Pajero Jeep belonging to the State Government.
Sources have revealed that the decision is coming after an extensive investigation that revealed Osagie’s alleged refusal to hand over Government properties in his possession, weeks after leaving office.
“As an aide to the former Governor, Osagie’s actions are seen as a serious breach of trust and irresponsibility as well as an abuse of the office he presided over.
“Edo State Government is committed to ensuring accountability and transparency in governance. We urge anyone with information about Osagie’s whereabouts to contact the nearest police station or appropriate authorities.
“The Edo State Governor, SenatorMonday Okpebholo has emphasized since assuming office, that the Government will not tolerate corruption or misconduct in any form and also that, the previous administration will be probed for accountability purposes.
“We must ensure that public resources are safeguarded for the benefit of the people of Edo State and it is only fair that those who have had the privilege of serving the state give account of their years in service.
“This declaration serves as a strong message to other members of the-immediate past administration who are still in possession of Government property to return them to the relevant ministries and agencies as the Government will leave no stone unturned in recovering these assets.
“The Edo State Government is determined to reclaim the missing vehicles and hold those responsible accountable,” A source within the Government circles revealed.
