Uzodimma: We Will Go To Any Length To Restore Peace In The South-East Before 2023 Polls

By Adeleye Kunle
Imo Governor Hope Uzodimma has stated that his administration will coordinate efforts to restore peace in the south-east before the 2023 elections.
The governor spoke on Saturday at the All Progressives Congress (APC) south-east zonal stakeholders’ meeting in Owerri, the state capital.
Uzodimma attacked opposition politicians at the event, accusing them of failing to condemn killings, destruction of public property, and other crimes in the zone.
“We will go to any length to ensure that peace is restored in the south-east before the general election in 2023,” he said.
“We must proceed.” I will never leave our state in the hands of non-state actors.”
Speaking about the 2023 general election, the governor stated that the APC controls twenty-two states and expressed confidence that his party will win across the board.
