Uzodinma Speaks About Rejecting the Appeal Court’s Decision On Nnamdi Kanu

Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma has denied faulting the Appeal Court decision that acquitted and discharged Nnamdi Kanu, the embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
According to Track News, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, denied the allegations in a statement issued on Friday in Owerri, the state capital.
Emelumba stated that the Imo government never disagreed with the Appeal Court’s decision, which discharged and acquitted the IPOB leader.
According to the commissioner, Uzodinma is a law-abiding Nigerian who believes in the rule of law and could not have questioned the judgment as implied by the fake news.
He did, however, accuse former governor Emeka Ihedioha and the state’s opposition Peoples Democratic Party of being behind the fake news in order to tarnish the governor’s image.
Emelumba also urged Nigerians to disregard fake news, noting that neither the governor nor any of his aides had responded to the Appeal Court decision on Kanu.
“We are aware that Ihedioha, following his ill-advised attacks on Ndigbo where he called them saboteurs, is desperately trying to drag His Excellency into the mud he has enmeshed himself in,” the statement reads. However, this childish stunt is a new low for him.
“Fake news did not attempt to answer the fundamental questions of 5Ws and H concerning any news story, which are who, what, when, where, why, and how.”
“After Uzodimma’s string of successes in governance and other national assignments, Ihedioha and the PDP have been attempting to erode his popularity.” Those familiar with the character of the state Governor would agree that he has never criticized the judiciary, even when judgments in personal matters did not go his way.
“It is the height of deception and perjury for the state opposition to attribute such a remark to Uzodimma.” The governor is a generous philanthropist who would never rejoice in anyone’s misfortune.”
