Victor Osimhen Tackles Coach After Losing Penalty In Napoli’s Draw

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is having the toughest period in his stay at Napoli as his goal drought continued on Sunday, September 25.
Things went so bad for the 24-year-old Nigerian striker that he missed a penalty against Bologna which would have earned his team the win.
The 73rd minute spot-kick was Napoli’s best chance of winning the game but Osimhen decided to blow up the chance as the game ended in a 0-0 draw.
Apart from the opportunity to score from the penalty spot, Osimhen had the chance to put his team in front but Bologna’s goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski made a fingertip save to stop his effort.
In the 86th minute, coach Rudi Garcia decided to substitute Victor Osimhen for Giovanni Simeone, a development that left the Nigeria international unhappy.
As Osimhen was walking off the pitch to the bench, he was seen shouting at the coach for substituting him when the club was still in need of a goal.
DAZN pitchside reporters claimed that Victor Osimhen was shouting at the coach for not allowing “two strikers” to work together instead of substituting him.
With the 0-0 draw, Napoli have dropped to the 7th spot on the league table with 8 points in 5 games, 7 points away from first-placed AC Milan.
As for Osimhen who scored 26 goals and provided five assists in Napoli’s Scudatto-winning season last term, he hasn’t scored a goal in the last 4 games. He currently has three league goals in five league games.
