Adeleye Kunle reporting for TrackNews
The abducted former Bayelsa State Commissioner for Special Duties in charge of Federal Projects in the state, Mike Ogiasa, has cried out for help.
Ogiasa, who is reportedly a cousin of former President Goodluck Jonathan, was abducted by unknown gunmen on Thursday, June 2.
TrackNews gathered that Mike was abducted at Otuogidi in the Ogbia Local Government Area of the state on Thursday, June 2.
Ogiasa, who was whisked away by about eight gunmen, was said to have finished attending a meeting before his kidnap.
The Special Adviser on Power to the Bayelsa State Government is the son of a former traditional ruler of Otuoke community.
His abduction was confirmed in June by the Police Public Relations Officer, Bayelsa State Command, SP Asinim Butswat.
In a video posted on Twitter by a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and journalists, Jackson Ude, Ogiaso could be heard begging individuals to help him.
The former Commissioner, who was placed in a shallow grave, stated that his life was worth more than the money the kidnappers were demanding for.
