WAFCON 2022: Super Eagles Cheer Super Falcons Against Indomitable Lionesses

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have congratulated the Super Falcons of Nigeria as they prepare to face the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon in a 2022 Women’s Africa Cup Of Nations (WAFCON) quarter-final game, according to Completesports.com.
The Super Falcons and Indomitable Lionesses meet today, Thursday July 14 at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco, for a place in the semi-finals and a place in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which Australia and New Zealand will co-host.
After finishing second in Group C with six points, the Super Falcons advanced to the quarter-finals.
They were defeated 2-0 by the Banyana Banyana of South Africa, 2-0 by the Mares of Botswana, and 4-0 by the Swallows of Burundi.
Cameroon finished second in Group B with five points, five points behind group winner Zambia, who had seven points. The Indomitable Lionesses began their campaign with a goalless draw against Zambia, then drew 1-1 with Togo before defeating Tunisia 2-0 in their final group game.

The Super Eagles congratulated the Falcons on Twitter.

The Super Falcons have a record nine Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) victories.
They are also the only African team to have qualified for both the FIFA Women’s World Cup and the Olympic Women’s Football Tournament.
