Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports

The All Progressives Congress, APC, Campaign Council, United Kingdom Chapter, paid a visit to the Nigerian High Commissioner in London, Sarafa Tunji Isola, over the weekend as part of efforts to establish a long-term partnership with the UK Commission ahead of the 2023 general elections in Nigeria.

During the visit, Mr Tunde Doherty stated that the council went to the high commissioner to inform him of the APC UK CC’s preparations for the weeks leading up to the Nigerian general elections.

“The meeting with the High Commissioner was really fruitful,” Doherty stated. We had lengthy chats with Tunji Ishola, who pushed APC members to unite and network in order to develop a formidable diaspora group.

The High Commissioner praised the Council’s generosity, saying the visit was a family affair, in his remarks.

“Members of this group should focus more on the need to be together,” Ishola stated. That is the only way to realize the desired outcome in the upcoming elections.”

The Campaign Council delegation was led by APC UK Chairman Tunde Doherty and included the Director General of the APC UK 2023 Campaign Council, Mr Muyiwa Adesua; Don Anyiam, Bukola Apena, Ifeoma Nwankwo, Secretary APC Diaspora PCC, Ayokunle Agunbiade, and others.
