We Don’t Want To Keep A Secret – APC Chieftain Reveals Tinubu’s Source Of Wealth
Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Farouk Aliyu, a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has assured Nigerians that the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has nothing to hide regarding his source of wealth.
This comes as he revealed that if Tinubu wins the 2023 presidential election, he will declare his assets, revealing his source of wealth, and those questioning his source of wealth will see there is nothing to hide.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Aliyu, a former lawmaker who represented Birnin Kudu/Buji in the House of Representatives from 2003 to 2007, asserted that the controversies sparked by the APC candidate’s source of wealth and background will be resolved soon.
He did, however, challenge anyone with knowledge of Tinubu’s alleged illegal wealth to come forward and declare it openly.
Further, the APC chieftain stated that Tinubu has repeatedly declared his innocence in the past, but it is understandable that people are scrutinizing him again now that he is running for President of Nigeria next year.
“Now, if you’re going to be in the public eye – if you’re looking for an office like that of a president – the people of the country have to ask,” he said.
“But, beyond that, if he (Tinubu) wins, there will be declarations – he will declare his assets for everyone to see, and I assure you that if Tinubu wins the election by the grace of God, he will come clean,” Aliyu said.
We Don’t Want Any Hidden Information
The former lawmaker challenged anyone with information about Tinubu’s illegal wealth to make it public.
“We don’t want anyone keeping it a secret.” “We don’t want anyone hiding,” he said.
For Inauguration, the APC Presidential Campaign Council On Friday, Aliyu also confirmed that the APC’s presidential campaign council will be inaugurated on Friday. He went on to say that the delay is to see what others are doing and that all party members will be carried along.
“I can confirm to the entire country that our campaign council will be inaugurated by Friday this week,” he said.
“We just stayed back to see what others are doing,” she says, adding that “the campaigns will begin immediately.”
