What I Saw During The Presidential Poll Was Not Election, We Are Still Doing Selection —Pete Edochie

Popular legendary actor, Pete Edochie, joins the long list is people who have expressed disappointment with the way and manner which INEC conducted the presidential election.
Speaking to correspondents of Vanguard papers, he maintained that INEC disappointed Nigerians because they did the opposite of what they said they would do, which is transmitting of results directly from polling units.
Speaking further, he alleged that what INEC did was not election but selection as they have been doing over the years.
He said: “As far as I am concerned, what I saw during the presidential poll, we are not prepared for elections. We are still doing selection. Between 1993 till now, how many years, yet we are still doing all these nonsense. INEC promised to transmit the results of the poll electronically. And when it was time to do so, the electoral umpire disappointed Nigerians. People like us have given up on the country completely. Before we can get it right in our electoral system, it will be difficult.”
