Whatever Fubara Had Said Before His Statement In Church, We Can Now Take With A Pinch Of Salt -Kunnu

In a recent interview on Central television, Adeniyi Kunnu, a seasoned public affairs analyst, offered his perspective on the evolving dynamics within Rivers State, particularly concerning the statements made by Governor Sim Fubara on New year’s eve. Kunnu expressed a nuanced viewpoint, indicating that the credibility of the peace resolution signed by Governor Fubara and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike might now be viewed with skepticism in the eyes of the state’s populace.
During the interview, Kunnu delved into the recent New Year’s Eve statement made by Governor Fubara, emphasizing that it has removed some elements of doubt regarding the governor’s control of affairs in the state.
In his own words as seen on Central television…
“Everybody must agree that what many of us have been talking about since the problem between Wike and Fubara has actually come to establish. Whatever it is that Fubara had said before the statement he made at the church, we can now take with a pinch of salt. The reality of all that has been happening is that people wanted to control the coffers of the state. So what do you do with the pen? The pen is a symbol of legitimisation and authority of anything that the Governor does. And it’s obvious from what he said at the church that some people are wanted him to remain a stooge to the FCT minister or he will be sent packing from office. But he has told them that after all said and done, we are still the winner.”
“So even after the reconciliation, we can say that the man who still calls the shots is Mr. Fubara and so the statement nails the coffin of the enemies.”
