The Immediate past Governor of Ebonyi State and the minister of works, Engineer Dave Umahi, has noted that when he was the Governor of Ebonyi State, that he had only one line and that people do call him on phone to abuse him. He went on and noted he sometimes responds back by abusing them back.
According to Channels Television report, the immediate past Governor of Ebonyi State made this disclosure when he was being interviewed on Channels Television, noting people had free access to him when he was Ebonyi State’s Governor.
He said: “When I was governor, I had only one line and I responded to all text messages and phone calls. They (People) call me to abuse me and sometimes I abuse them back, that is the beauty of democracy, freedom of speech and I am also human.”
Furthermore, the former Ebonyi State Governor made it known that if people just abuse him unduly as minister, without any reference, he will find a mild way to also abuse them back by telling them to be reasonable, not that he is going to use foul language.
The Ebonyi State former governor also warned against misappropriation of public funds, noting that there are consequences attached to the act.
In addition, the former Ebonyi State Governor made it known that President Bola Tinubu will allocate funds for the construction of quality roads across the country, noting that the significant issue encountered in road development in the country is the construction cost.
