Who Are Wike’s APC Friends? – Fintiri Speaks On Ongoing Feud

Ahmadu Fintiri, the governor of Adamawa state, has stated that those praising Rivers state Governor Nyesom Wike are not his friends.
According to Track News, Wike and the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, have been at odds for some time.

The schism between the two began after Atiku won the party’s presidential primaries and widened when Delta state governor Ifeanyi Okowa was named vice presidential candidate.

To bury the hatchet and keep the peace, Wike and his cohorts are calling for the resignation of the party’s national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.

In response to the ongoing schism, Fintiri stated that he had been appointed to lead Atiku Abubakar’s reconciliation team as part of ongoing efforts to end the feud, and that he would achieve a truce between the two by God’s grace.

On Saturday, he gave the assurance while speaking with a journalist at Yola International Airport.

“Who are his APC friends?” he asked. Are you saying that those who are currently romancing Wike adore him? I can assure you that, with God’s help, the party will clean house before the 2023 elections. Even Wike recognizes that he has been by far the most significant investor in the party; can he now walk away from his entire investment? We recognize that he loves his people, and I can assure you that if it comes to that, he will get a fair deal; we just need to put the crisis behind us.”
