Wike: Fintiri would oversee peace team to resolve the continuing conflict between Atiku and Wike
Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has been selected to lead Atiku Abubakar’s reconciliation team in an effort to resolve the continuing conflict between Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and the PDP presidential candidate.
When asked about the PDP upheaval, Fintiri, who arrived at the Yola International Airport on Saturday by Max Air, disclosed his new responsibility.
The governor claimed that Atiku’s quarrel with Governor Wike was the reason he had been chosen to lead the committee as its chairman.
The governor expressed confidence that, with God’s help, he could mediate a settlement between Wike and former vice president Atiku Abubakar, claiming that he seemed to be the best contender for the position.
He remarked, “I am a personification of both men,” after joking that his acquaintance with both men put him in a good position to help bridge the gap between Wike and Atiku.
The party’s crisis would be resolved peacefully before to the 2023 presidential elections, he pledged.
He also disclosed that, while being aware of the enormity of the work at hand, there were encouraging signs that the committee would be successful in brokering a peace agreement after his initial meeting with While.
Fintiri asserted that Wike’s large investment in the party will be for naught if he doesn’t back Atiku in the 2023 elections.
He said, “Who are his friends in the APC?” Are you implying that Wike’s current romantic interests love him?
“With God’s assistance, I can assure you that the party will purge itself prior to the 2023 elections.
“He has by far been the party’s largest investor, as even Wike is aware. Can he now get his money back in full?
We recognize his concern for his neighborhood, and I can assure you that, should it arise, he will be given a just settlement to put the issue behind us.
