Wike to Ayu: Sue me for alleged PDP fund misappropriation.

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike reiterated his claim that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman Dr. Iyorchia Ayu diverted N1.1 billion in party funds yesterday, daring Ayu to sue him.

Wike made the remarks at the Rivers PDP 2023 election campaign launch in Omagwa, Ikwerre Local Government Area, where he also stated that he would leave office as a fulfilled leader.

“I have challenged Ayu,” said the governor. You will not be able to persuade me to run for office. I’m not going to do it. However, rivers will not. Whether they like it or not, Ayu cannot lead us to campaign.”

“You (Ayu) are constructing a university in Benue State, but you have not served one year in office,” he asserted. I said you took N1 billion, N100 million, and the money we made from the primary. Ayu, sue me.”

During the PDP crisis, he told the G-5 governors and supporters, “My dear brothers of the Integrity Group, you’ve done well.” They tried to break us, but they couldn’t and will never be able to break us.

“I’ll say it here in Rivers, and the heavens will hear.” Let the earth hear me today. I will not back anyone who claims that no one from another ethnic group is qualified to be President. It’s not going to happen.

“Whether you are Hausa, Fulani, Yoruba, Igbo, Ikwerre, Urhobo, Itsekiri, Ijaw, or from anywhere in Nigeria, you have the right to be President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

“So, when you go on national television and tell everyone not to vote Yoruba or Igbo, you don’t even mention where I’m from, which means nobody identifies with me.” That is, I come from nowhere. But, believe me, I’m not from nowhere.

“None of the PDP Integrity Governors will be removed from office in their respective states.” No amount of planning will prevent us from losing Abia, Enugu, Benue, and Oyo states, and who will come and take Rivers State?

“I’m going with my shoulders up and a smile on my face because I’ve never promised to do something and then failed to do it.” There are several armed robbers and kidnappers running for governor. “Would you mind opening your eyes?”
