Wole Soyinka is not dead, according to Sowore.
Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, has denied reports that Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka is dead.
There are rumors circulating on social media, particularly Twitter, that the novelist died on Friday.
But Sowore, who took to Facebook to debunk the rumour, said the playwright is still alive and well, and urged Nigerians to disregard the rumour.
“There is nothing wrong with Prof. Wole Soyinka; he is alive and kicking,” he wrote. Please disregard rumors of his death”!
