WORLD CUP: Gov. Douye Diri Meets FIFA President, Infantino

The Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri was one of the special guest in Qatar at the invitation of FIFA President, Gianni Infantino.
The Governor revealed this via his Facebook handle, he said “I seized the World Cup platform where I watched the semi-final clash between the African side, Morocco and France, to interface with FIFA President and other key officials including FIFA Secretary-General, Fatma Samba Diouf Samoura and CAF President, Patrice Motsepe.
The Governor Speaking on the former NFF President, said “Our very own Amaju Pinnick, former NFF President and current FIFA Council member, was on hand during key meetings held to galvanise support for sports development in Bayelsa State.”
“Mr. Infantino is happy with our investments in both Bayelsa United and Bayelsa Queens. He is so touched by our support to the growth of female football in Nigeria, Africa and the globe. I see a lot more partnerships coming our way in this direction.”
“My government is strategically promoting sports through proper funding to positively engage our youths in the State.”
