World Cup: Jay Jay Okocha reacts as Morocco beats Spain
Ex-international Austin Jay-Jay Okocha has hailed the Atlas Lions of Morocco after the North American side beat Spain 3-0 on penalties to qualify for the quarterfinals of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
It was the first time Morocco will get to the quarter-final of the World Cup.
It was goalless after 120 minutes of football with penalties required to settle the contest.
“They have done ever so well. Well deserved (win) as well.. It takes a lot of courage.. It takes a lot to defend for over 120 minutes without losing focus, without losing concentration,” Okocha said on SuperSport.
Okocha further singled out Spain-based Moroccan goalkeeper,Yassine Bounou who kept out the kicks to win the game.
