Youth leader, Sir T. hails Sylva on appeal court victory, rallies support for APC
YENAGOA____A renowned Bayelsa youth leader and member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comr. Tonye Bobo popularly called Sir P has congratulated Chief Timipre Sylva over Tuesday’s Appeal Court verdict restoring the party on the ballot for the governorship election slated for 11th November 2023.
Bobo, an indigene of Sangana in Brass Local Government Area, hailed the verdict as the true interpretation of the law.
“By yesterday’s ruling, the judiciary has once again proven to be the last hope of the common man,” Bobo noted in a statement made available to mangrovepen.ng on Wednesday.
According to the youth leader, “I knew Sylva would emerge victorious in the end because the lawsuit lacked merit and was a mere distraction to the APC candidate.”
He added that the verdict also reflects the wishes of the vast majority of Bayelsans “who are yearning to vote for Sylva to become their governor in the forthcoming election.”
Bobo who is also the chairman of the third phase ex-agitators of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) expressed belief that Sylva will win the forthcoming poll.
“This is based on his popularity, firm will to win as well as his people-oriented agenda for Bayelsans,” he stated.
The youth leader equally urged Bayelsans to support and vote for the Sylva/Maclver ticket in the forthcoming election, adding that “Sylva means well for Bayelsans, and with him at the helm of affairs in Creek Haven, Bayelsa is sure to begin its long but steady journey to becoming the most developed and industrialized state in Nigeria.
