Zamfara Emir urges residents to intensify prayers against rising banditry
The Emir of Moriki in Zamfara state, Alhaji Bashar Ismaila, has emphasized the importance of prayer and spiritual intervention in addressing the prevalent issue of banditry in the state.
Speaking at the official opening of the annual Tafsir at the Miriki Jumuat Mosque, the traditional ruler urged the people of the emirate to dedicate themselves to prayers during this period of fasting.
According to Emir Ismaila, the fasting period presents an opportune time for the Muslim Ummah to seek divine intervention against the scourge of banditry that has plagued their communities.

He stressed the significance of returning to God and seeking spiritual guidance to overcome the challenges faced by the state.
Additionally, Emir Ismaila appealed to individuals who can financially support the less privileged in the community.
He highlighted the economic hardships many people face in Zamfara state and across Nigeria, and emphasized the importance of collective support in addressing these challenges.
Furthermore, the traditional ruler underscored the importance of seeking forgiveness from Allah and repenting from past misdeeds during fasting.
