Zamfara killings: Sack your service chiefs – PDP tells Buhari
– The PDP has called on President Buhari to review his parade and sack his service chiefs
– The call came after bandits killed several people in Zamfara and Yobe over the weekend
The opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to terminate the appointment of his service chiefs after bandits and insurgents killed several people in Zamfara and Yobe over the weekend.
The PDP national publicity secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, in an interview with Punch condoled with the family of the victims and urged President Buhari to review his parade and make necessary changes.
Ologbondiyan said: “We sympathise with the families of the people that have been killed.
“The PDP has consistently told Mr. President to review his parade. As the Commander-in-Chief, if his men in the front are being killed, he has the responsibility to review his parade, except if there is something underneath that he has not been able to explain to Nigerians.
“PDP holds that more than ever before, the time has come for Mr. President to review his parade.”
Meanwhile, TrackNews earlier reported that tn the wake of the recent violence that claimed dozens of lives in Zamfara state, Senator Shehu Sani, representing Kaduna Central, has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to embark on a condolence visit to the state.
TrackNews earlier reported that suspected armed bandits on Wednesday, December 19, stormed three communities in Birnin Magaji local government area of Zamfara state, killing many residents.
Some of those killed were working on their farms when they were attacked. Sources who witnessed the ugly incident said the armed bandits came heavily armed and opened fire on the farmers who were harvesting sweet potatoes at Garin Haladu community.
