Zamfara Police Department assures NYSC members of adequate security

Mr. Kolo Yusuf, Commissioner of Police in Zamfara State, has reiterated his commitment to the security and safety of police officers deployed in the state.
The Commissioner, who paid a visit to the temporary site of the NYSC Orientation Camp at Science Secondary School in Gusau, stated that the State Police command would not tolerate any lapses in the security and safety of residents in the State.
According to the commissioner, the purpose of the visit was to assess and improve the Camp’s existing security arrangements in order to ensure the safety and security of Corps members and NYSC staff in the state.
Yusuf assured Corps members of the police’s ongoing commitment to their safety both in camp and in their primary areas of responsibility in his address to them.
He also urged them to be security conscious and to report any suspicious movement to the police or any other security agency for immediate action.
Mallam Dan Mallam Mohammed, the State NYSC Coordinator, thanked the Commissioner of Police for his concern for corps members and promised more collaboration with the police and other security agencies to protect the lives and property of all, including NYSC staff in the State.
