The largest political party in Bayelsa State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held its ward congresses on 3rd March 2026 across the state.
Leaders, stakeholders and members of the party gathered in their various wards to conduct peaceful, transparent and widely accepted congresses in line with the party’s constitution and the guidelines of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Notably, this is the first time ward congresses have been conducted in Bayelsa State without rancour, signalling renewed unity and cohesion among party faithful under the able leadership of Barrister George Turnah, MON.
Indeed, this marks the beginning of a new dawn for the PDP in Bayelsa State.
