The Bayelsa State Government has confirmed that it is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Mr. Peresuodei Ondutimi Abbah, a native of Amassoma Community in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of the state. The government assured the public that all necessary legal steps will be taken to ensure accountability and justice for the deceased.
This assurance was contained in a press statement issued by the Office of the Honorable Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice of Bayelsa State. The statement noted that the government had become aware of the incident and described the death as unfortunate, while extending condolences to the family, friends, and the Amassoma community.
According to the statement, the Bayelsa State Government reiterated its commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring that anyone found culpable in connection with the death is held responsible through due process.
