….Says, APC is the Way Forward for Bayelsa State
Yenagoa: Today over 2000 Bayelsa Youths came out in procession tthrough the streets of the state capital in suuport and appreciation of the Gov. Douye Diri/Dr.Peter Akpe led APC Prosperity Government.
Youths from across the Eight LGAs of the state and led by Barr. Ayebakuro Igbeta, PhD the convener of the Progressive Prosperity Youths Coalition (PPYC) expressed their gratefulness to the Governor and his Deputy for what they described as unprecedented infrastructural development of the state. In his address Barr. Ayebakuro Igbeta PhD reemphasized that his continues loyalty to the governor is largely because of the verifiable and ascertainable physical and human capacity development initiatives and programs embarked upon and completed by the Prosperity administration as ably and ingeniously led by His Excellency Sen. Douye Diri and his very efficient, reliable and accommodating Deputy Pastr. Dr. Peter Akpe. According to Igbeta, he ordinarily does not have a choice than to support Diri as the principal and political godfather he served for over fourteen years has always instructed that by whatever measure however small, all his energy and faculties must be put to ensure that Diri and the Prosperity administration finishes strong and consolidated.
Amidst the loud voices of excited youths, Igbeta reminded that unlike at other times, Bayelsans are now assured with safety and security in their individual homesteads, and that roads, schools, hospitals and other public amenities are initiated and executed simultaneously across all Senatorial districts most of which are simply mind buggling. The group made particular and emphatic references to the about-to-be-commissioned new Bayelsa Gas turbine which assures stable and constant electricity in the state, similar repeated mentions were made of the Nembe/Brass road, the Oporoma bridge, the completion of the Ekeremor road, the new Yenagoa City Road dualization cutting linking the State Govt house to Gbarantoru, the New Yenagoa City Stadium amongst other critical people oriented and life changing initiatives of the Diri led Prosperity Government.
Respected Youths stakeholder and Urban Security expert Chief Lucky Asanakpo, who is the head of security of the group, and Hon. Temple Newman, Head of all Directors and all former Directors of the now defunct Prosperity Youths Coalition (PYC) in their respective statements expressed that although a handful of youths may have gone south for reasons best known to them, the bulk and vast majority of Bayelsa youths remain intact and rock solid behind the Executive Governor of the Bayelsa State His Excellency Sen. Douye Diri and his dependable Deputy Pastr. Dr. Peter Akpe, because the leadership which sees forwards much further have agreed that the All Progressive Congress is the way forward, Bayelsa youths have collectively and individually agreed to remain put in the APC as the bringer of new things, good and beautiful.
