The Bayelsa State Governor, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Douye Diri, has approved the appointment of Dr. (Mrs.) Boboye Kenesuomene Ifie, as Pioneer Chief Medical Director of the Bayelsa Medical University Teaching Hospital (BMUTH) for a single tenure of Five (5) years.
Dr. Boboye is an experienced Consultant Paediatrician who recently undertook an assessment tour of all teaching hospitals across the South-South States of Nigeria.
Until her appointment, she was the Director, Medical and Dental Services, Bayelsa State Hospitals Management Board.
Dr. Boboye Kenesuomone Ifie-Ombeh, a Medical Practitioner with many years of experience in both General Medicine and Paediatric Care is a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians.
In the recent time, she was the Consultant in charge, Bayelsa Specialist Hospital and there where she displayed great leadership skills, good work ethics, has served and is currently serving in many professional bodies and her Alumni association, UIAA, among others.
She also lectures and mentors students both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels showcasing her inherent passion for academic excellence.
